CITAZIONE
Shaun Sipos (Eric Daniels, Life Unexpected) doesn't own a television so unfortunately he can't watch his own show. But he wants to make sure all of you tune in: "I would just say, if you were to bullet-point it: it’s a damn good show and it’s worth watching. You would definitely be missing out if you don’t watch it."

Good to know, Sipos, but can you be a little more specific? For example, will Lux (Britt Robertson) and Eric be heading off on another spontaneous trip, like attempting to see the ocean, any time soon?

"I don’t know what you’re talking about. Where do you get your information? Who is that little birdie in your ear?" Sipos laughed when LA TV Insider Examiner had a chance to chat with him last week.

But whether or not another adventure will be attempted will remain to be seen after this week's episode, "Music Faced", in which both Lux and Eric show up to the outdoor music festival, but with very different ideas in mind about their relationship.

"It’s a large episode," Sipos explained, talking about both the scale of performances, as well as emotional character work. "Obviously the cast from One Tree Hill—or some of the cast members will be on the show. And if [fans] watch the previous episode and they have any type of familiarity of what’s going on between Lux and Eric, they may find a little bit more of stuff."

So cryptic! But saying much more would ruin the fun of watching the episode play out!

Sipos, who has "a great passion for storytelling and mythology," was eager to dive into the role of teacher and tutor Eric Daniels because he felt like it was a good opportunity to work on parts of himself as a person through the character. And he shared that he definitely can relate to Eric and some of his current internal struggles.

"When you establish something with a girl—when there’s that ‘yes’ essentially that’s been said between the two of you, which happens essentially in the first episode [of season two, “Ocean Uncharted”]-- sparks fly, and they genuinely relate to each other. That I think happens more often than not, where that yes is said and then there’s circumstances that say ‘This can’t really happen’," he explained.

And though in life those circumstances aren't always about an age difference or a teacher-student relationship issue (Sipos cited connecting with a friend's girlfriend before realizing she was taken as an example), in Life Unexpected, the main conflict is definitely the age and teacher-student thing. So much so that it's driven a wedge within the fandom of those who are now on Team Jones versus Team Eric.

"Everything says no, but you’re having a human experience, and your heart and your emotions say yes," Sipos intellectualized.

"Also, Lux is much more mature. You have these two people who have met each other and are looking at each other as peers," he added, noting that she doesn't relate to anyone else in school because they haven't been through as much as she has.

And though in the early episodes of the season, it has been Eric helping Lux learn things about herself, it might be the other way around for the second half of the first thirteen episodes. According to Sipos, we will definitely get "more of a taste of Eric and who he is and how he sees the world and what he gets into, but it’s definitely [still] tied with Lux."

LA TV Insider Examiner is certainly looking forward to it, aren't you?

Life Unexpected airs on Tuesday nights on The CW at 9pm. Though Sipos does not Tweet, he jokingly gave permission for us to do so on his behalf. "Just in every Tweet, work my name into it somehow," he laughed.

Well, we will be Tweeting a long with "Music Faced", and he does have some big scenes within the episode, so we think we can accomplish that!
